These terms and conditions govern your use of The Argent Gallery website. You will also find information on orders and returns, your privacy and your security.

The Argent Gallery has made every effort to display the items as accurately as possible. Most products have been described with accurate photography and descriptions: sizes/lengths/ weights. However, we are aware that colours and images vary slightly according to the monitor they are viewed on and also as the rarity of some stones may differ in colour.

Contract for sale

The advertising of products on this site is an ´invitation to browse´. That means your order is an offer, and does not constitute a contract of sale between you and The Argent Gallery. Prices and stock availability will not be contractually confirmed until you receive the ´confirmation of order´ email dispatched once payment has been confirmed and stock levels have been checked.

These terms and conditions will only be varied by changes made by The Argent Gallery on the site, which we may make from time to time.

By placing an order you agree to The Argent Gallery´s terms and conditions.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

Receipt of order and payments

The Argent Gallery

must receive payment in full for your order before it can be accepted. Once your payment has been authorised and cleared (via PROTEX, or BACS) and stock is checked, The Argent Gallery will send you an email receipt confirming your order and dispatch your item. Please keep this receipt for your records. We can only accept orders for items that are in stock. We will not process payment until we have confirmed that the item is available.

Should there be an error in the description or price of goods on the site, The Argent Gallery reserve the right to supply goods at the correct price.

The Argent Gallery reserve the right to refuse to supply to any person for whatever reason.

Returning a product

Items purchased may be returned within 7 working days from the date of dispatch for a full refund less postage and packaging.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your online purchase, you should contact us at enquiries@theargentgallery.co.uk or by calling our retail outlet on 0116 260 3355. You will need to provide us with a contact telephone number, the date of purchase, the item description and the name of the person who purchased the item.

A refund will be issued only if the item is unworn, in its original condition along with the packaging and all the information referred to above is received. However, for hygiene reasons we cannot exchange or refund pierced earrings or any other pierced body jewellery items.

If you are outside the 7 working day time limit, subject to items being returned in mint condition and only at the sole discretion of The Argent Gallery, you will be offered a credit note for the value of the goods, which can be redeemed at any time over the following three months.

There will be an extended return period for Xmas until the 10th January for exchanges/credits.

For all returns, except where the item is faulty, you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the products to us by registered post only.

For items being sent from outside the UK, please use Airsure for Europe and UPS/FEDEX for Worldwide. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit. Please send your items to:

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange a product, please include details of the item that you wish to exchange your purchase for in your package.

Cancellations

If you have made a mistake and want to cancel your order, please contact us within 24 hours. Since we ship quickly, it may not be possible to stop your order, so please follow the instructions for ´Returning a Product´ in those instances.

Defective and damaged items

Should you receive an item that is defective, damaged, or not what you ordered, please contact us within 48 hours. We will endeavour to help you resolve any issues as quickly as possible by, for example, delivering another item, replacing your order or refunding the amount paid less post and packaging.

Customer data

Your privacy as an individual and as a customer is important to us, so we do not use the information you provide on this site to learn any more about you other than what is required to fulfil your orders or offer you services such as new alerts or reminder services.

The Argent Gallery does not combine your individual information with any kind of site analysis, but we do look at the overall browsing behaviour of our customers to improve the way the site navigates. We also do not track your behaviour on any other sites or follow you once you´ve left www.theargentgallery.co.uk .

Any personal data gathered by us in your use of this site may be recorded. However, it will only by used by The Argent Gallery or our retail outlet ARGENT Jewellery in order to affect delivery of your goods and provide our full customer service to you, as well as to compile accounting and other records.

Email usage

The Argent Gallery uses your email address as a convenient way to contact you about your order or any reminder service you have. From time to time, we may update you on relevant site or private sale news, but only with your permission. We will not pass your details on to any other relevant third parties that we think you may be interested in if you have requested us not to do this.

Disclaimer

The Argent Gallery works to keep the site up to date but cannot guarantee that this site and its contents are completely free of technical errors. By using this site, you acknowledge that you assume full responsibility for all costs associated with all necessary servicing or repairs of any equipment you use in connection with this site. We are also not liable for any damages associated with use of this site however caused, incorrect prices or information.

If you are not satisfied with the site, then please email us with your comments. However, your only legal recourse is to stop using the site.

Customer responsibility

The Argent Gallery cannot guarantee that the sale and delivery of its goods to your particular country or location is permissible, so please be aware of your own geographic import restrictions.

This site and its contents will not constitute the basis for any contractual commitment between The Argent Gallery and any prospective customer in any jurisdiction in which the solicitation of interest or the offering of or sale of products by The Argent Gallery would contravene any applicable local, regional or national legislation. No prospective customer should seek to make any order through the site from jurisdictions in which it would be illegal for The Argent Gallery to sell products.

Legal Governance

Your use of this site and any contract between you and The Argent Gallery for the sale of products shall be governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales. If any provision of these terms and conditions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these terms and conditions and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining provisions.

Copyright and other rights

All materials, including images, illustrations, designs layout, photographs, written and other text or script that are part of this site are protected by copyright trade dress and ⁄ or other intellectual property rights owned, controlled or licensed to The Argent Gallery. The site as a whole is protected by copyright and trade dress, all worldwide rights, titles and interests in and to which are owned by The Argent Gallery.

Contents of the site and the site as a whole are intended solely for personal, non-commercial use. You may download or copy the contents and other downloadable materials displayed on the site for the sole purpose of placing an order with The Argent Gallery the site as a shopping resource. No right, title or interest in any downloaded materials or software is transferred to you as a result of any such downloading or copying. You may not reproduce (except as noted above), publish, transmit, distribute, display, modify, create derivative works from, sell or participate in any sale of, or exploit in any way, in whole or in part, any of the contents, the site, or any related software.

In the event of any unauthorised copying, The Argent Gallery are entitled to take legal proceedings against the persons concerned.

Postage and Packaging

Items over the value of £30.00 are dispatched via Royal Mail Special Delivery free of charge within the UK, and at £4.95 for Europe and Worldwide. Items under this cost will be sent via recorded delivery free of charge in the UK. For any other services (such as Couriers, Next Day Guaranteed, Recorded and International), a postage quote will be forwarded to you prior to the completion of the transaction.

All items are delivered gift wrapped, and if requested, a hand written card (+£1.00) can be included, for that special occasion.

Overseas orders are placed at the customer´s risk. The Argent Gallery shall not accept responsibility for overseas orders lost in transit. You will be liable for all export charges if applicable, and a quote for these will be forwarded prior to transaction completion.

For orders delivered within the UK, we will attempt to deliver all items within 2–5 working days from clearance of payment, subject to availability. If we are out of stock of any item, you will be notified within 48 hours by email.
